There’s a high chance you have a grip solvent lying around your house. It’s a cheap yet cost effective solution that you can use to remove the price tag sticker from your golf club. Not to mention that it’s quite easy to use.
Grip solvent works by deactivating the adhesive that holds the sticker to the surface of the golf club. All you have to do is to apply the solvent on the area with the sticker. Let the solution sit on the section for a few minutes and then wipe off to remove the sticker and its remains.
To be clear, a grip solvent is a non-flammable, citrus-based solution that works great. So if you’re looking for an easy, cost effective way to remove the stickers that you find to be rather annoying, this is the way to go.
2. Use Goo Gone To Remove Stickers from Golf Club
If you’ve considered using Goo Gone to remove stickers from golf clubs but you’re not sure if the solution will work, we strongly recommend that you try it.
That’s because it’s one of the most effective solutions that works well on steel shafts and it doesn’t affect graphite in a bad way.
Goo Gone contains grip solvent and mineral spirit as active ingredient. And unlike acetone, it doesn’t melt the lacquer finish on the shaft. Not only does it remove stickers from golf clubs, it also leaves a pleasant citrus scent on the surface where the sticker was.

3. Use Hair Dryer to Remove Stickers Off Golf Clubs
Some people claim that the ugliest stickers are the hardest to remove. And that’s mostly because they remove them by hand and then have to clean the sticky and frustrating residue. A better way to remove the garish an unsightly price tag from your golf club is to use a hair dryer.
There’s no specific type of a hair dryer for this kind of job. So whether you have a Dyson, Cura LUXE, Babyliss, or any other brand lying around, use it.
Our interested here is the heat setting. Set your hair dryer to the highest heat setting, hold it an inch or two above the sticker on the golf club for about three or four minutes. The high heat from the hair dryer will loosen the adhesive and make the sticker easy to remove.

4. Use Vegetable Oil
There is more to vegetable oil than just the usual purpose. In our case, it makes a good solution that you can use to remove stickers from your golf club.
To be clear, there’s no specific type of cooking oil for this, so whatever cooking oil you have in your kitchen should get the stickers removed.
The best thing about this method is that it’s easily to implement and it works extremely well.
Pour a small amount of cloth on a paper towel and damp it on the sticker residue that you would like to remove from the golf club.
Let the oil seat on the surface of the sticker for a few minutes and then use another paper towel to wipe the area. This should be enough to remove the sticker.
5. Use Peanut Butter
To be honest, this is probably the last option a golfer will think about, especially because not many of us have use peanut butter beyond its intended purpose. But it works, and it does so quite well.
Keep in mind that the goal is to remove the stickers without leaving ugly residue on the shaft. And for that you need a solution that can loosen up the adhesive so you can easily remove the sticker residue from the golf club.
Peanut butter has oil content that can loosen up the adhesive that glues the sticker to your golf club. And while applying this solution won’t work as fast as the hair dryer method does, you still get the same results at the end of the day.
Apply the peanut butter on the sticker and let it sit for 30 to 60 minutes. Wipe the butter and peel off the sticker thereafter.
As you can see, there’s more than one way to remove stickers off golf clubs without trying so hard. While the working mechanism of each solution is different, each method does loosen up the adhesive quite well and make the sticker residue easy to clean off the golf club.
